Contrary to our earlier report that U2's 12th studio album, No Line on the Horizon, was set for a Feb. 23, 2009 release, Interscope has officially announced that the album will actually drop on March 3 in the U.S. and March 2 in the U.K. Previously, the album was slated
for a November 2008 release.
Back then, we also thought the LP might be produced by will.i.am, but he musta got tangled up in some fauxlogram or another, because we haven't heard a peep about it. Thanks for nothing, Kanye. Sadly, it seems U2 instead had to rely on such unvetted, small-change helmsmen as Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite. What a shame! This album probably will not sell many copies.
